Grace is a community of people in Christ, called and sent to bear witness to God’s creative, redeeming and sanctifying activity in the world. As a community of faith, we live in service to, and as messengers of, God’s will; sharing the good news of peace and grace by working together for all.

A congregation that carries out Christ’s Great Commission by reaching out to all people to bring them to faith in Christ, through grace.

We are situated in the heart of Washington’s Crestwood Neighborhood, and serve as host to meetings of the Crestwood Citizen’s Association as well as the Advisory Neighborhood Commission. We open our doors to our neighbors and are active participants in community outreach efforts in a geographical area that includes Mt. Pleasant, Columbia Heights, Petworth and north to Carter Baron.

We are a place for young adults to be part of the Church through weekly participation; one that grows stronger by fulfilling by promoting hope and a spirit of cooperation for all.

A congregation that challenges, equips and supports all members in carrying out our calling to serve and live the faith in our daily lives.

A people of God who, through action, express and preserve the unity which the Spirit gives and upon which the Church was founded.

We provide service to those in need; a congregation that reaches out to the community, that serving the needs of the community, including the elderly, homeless, the dying, and others.

We believe in spiritual activism; sharing the news of the saving power of Jesus Christ. We reach outside of our doors to spread the good news of Christ.

Grace is a Reconciled in Christ congregation. The Reconciling in Christ (RIC) Program recognizes Lutheran congregations that welcome lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) believers.
