Grace is a community of people in Christ, called and sent to bear witness to God’s creative, redeeming and sanctifying activity in the world. As a community of faith, we live in service to, and as messengers of, God’s will; sharing the good news of peace and grace by working together for all.

We are situated in the heart of Washington’s Crestwood Neighborhood, and serve as host to meetings of the Crestwood Citizen’s Association as well as the Advisory Neighborhood Commission. We open our doors to our neighbors and are active participants in community outreach efforts in a geographical area that includes Mt. Pleasant, Columbia Heights, Petworth and north to Carter Baron.
We are a place for young adults to be part of the Church through weekly participation; one that grows stronger by fulfilling by promoting hope and a spirit of cooperation for all.

Grace is a Reconciled in Christ congregation. The Reconciling in Christ (RIC) Program recognizes Lutheran congregations that welcome lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) believers.
