GOD GIVES - WE GIVE BACK - LIVE GENEROUSLY Our season of stewardship begins today. We will take a few weeks to live with scripture, prayer and reflections around the resources God gives, how we give back and how we live generously because of thankfulness and generosity. We will again ask for your financial and service pledges for 2020 as we put together our 2020 mission spending plan. Your staff and council are thankful for your faithfulness to God’s mission here at Grace and trust God is leading us every step of the way! God bless.

SHARE YOUR LOVE FOR GOD’S CREATION STAND WITH STUDENTS AT THE CLIMATE STRIKE ON SEPTEMBER 20 For the love of this world ... For the love of our neighbors ... For the love of all children, now and in the future ... our faith communities will follow the leadership of young people and join students, workers, parents, and those on the front lines of climate change! We'll stand together as a powerful, prayerful multi-faith contingent to speak out for our neighbors and for the climate we share. This is the kick-off of a week of action on climate, growing out of the school strikes organized by Greta Thunberg and other young activists. Lutheran churches from across DC are joining the faith contingent that will gather on Friday, September 20th at 11 am across from the Ellipse Visitor Pavilion (southwest of the intersection of E St. and 15th St., NW) as part of the wider Climate Strike action, and then marching together to the Capitol for a youth-led rally. Contact Pastor Lee Schray, 202-236-0268, or Pastor Karen Brau, 410-926-7557, if you want to meet up or have questions.
